Tavistock rolls over Paris, 6-3Brant Sports Complex Sat, Jan 24, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Tavistock Braves had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-3 win over the Paris Mounties. Tavistock was paced by Cody Bateman, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Bateman scored short handed 13:45 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Tavistock. The Braves were on a disadvantage when Maverick Petrie went off the ice for goalie interference. Tavistock forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 32.0 minutes per game the Braves had been spending in the box. Tavistock outdid its season average for goals scored. The Braves average 2.9 goals per game. Tavistock also got points from Josh Hill AP, who also tallied one goal and one assist. The Mounties earned a power play opportunity when Wagler was put in the box for slashing. Tyler Arsenault provided the assist. Paris additionally got points from Brett Wilson, who also had one goal and one assist. Mitchell Harvey also scored for Paris. Other players who recorded assists for Paris were Brady Wheelans, Brodie Smith, and Merrit Crumback, who each chipped in one. Tavistock's Ben Larder stopped 37 shots out of the 40 that he faced.
