Early goals doom Delhi, falls to Ayr, 11-0Delhi Community Centre Fri, Nov 28, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
A four-goal first period deficit cost the Delhi Travellers, which could not recover and fell to the Ayr Centennials, 11-0. Ayr got the win thanks to a great game by Andrew Richard, who had one goal and three assists. Richard scored 4:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ayr. Eric Hackborn assisted on the tally. The Centennials' defense was surprisingly good. Ayr gives up 2.2 goals on average per game. The Centennials forced Delhi goalie Mike Harrison to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. Ayr's goal total was higher than its season average. The Centennials average 5.8 goals per game. Ayr was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play. The defensemen of the Centennials were also effective in the Travellers' zone, and came away with four goals.
