The Fergus Devils relied on the sparkling performance of Alex Elliott in net to grab a 7-1 win against the Orillia Terriers. Fergus' penalty kill excelled, as the Devils gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Fergus was led by Paolo Chemello, who tallied one goal. Chemello scored 7:57 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Fergus. Matthew Clarke assisted on the tally. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 14:11 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts. The Devils' offense rang up 42 shots on Orillia's net. Fergus surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Orillia kept Fergus' goalie busy throughout the game, and Elliott made 33 saves on 34 shots. The Terriers were led by Jordan Felix, who scored the team's only goal. Felix scored on the power play 14:24 into the second period to make the score 7-1 Fergus. A fighting penalty on Dominic Wealthall had put Orillia on the power play. Brock Welsh picked up the assist. The Devils ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and one major. For Fergus, Patrick Snell and Wealthall were ejected from the contest.
