The Alliston Hornets' Matt Hamilton scored 1:55 into overtime to beat the Fergus Devils, 3-2 (OT).

Hamilton had two goals to lead Alliston to victory.

The Hornets' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Fergus power plays. Alliston did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Hornets average 5.2 goals per game.

Alliston additionally got points from Matt Taylor, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Alliston received assists from Mitch Livingston, who had one and Joe Cochrane and Gianluca Pallotta, who contributed two each.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Fergus was helped by Brock Philips, who tallied one goal. Philips scored 10:21 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Patrick Snell provided the assist. Fergus also got a goal from Ben Roelofson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Fergus were Tyson Bouchard, Griffin Heitshu, and Brock Heshka, who each chipped in one.

Tyler Brindle recorded 25 saves for Alliston. The Hornets incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Alliston ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Tanner Dockerty was ejected from the game. The Devils' Alex Elliott stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Fergus incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For the Devils, Roelofson was ejected from the game.
