Huge game by Adamson boosts Erin over Penetang, 7-0Erin Community Center Sat, Dec 13, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Liam Adamson was all over the ice for the Erin Shamrocks, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Erin's 7-0 win over the Penetang Kings. Adamson got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 6:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Erin. An interference penalty on Brandon Frandsen had put the Shamrocks on the power play. Darcy Hackett assisted on the tally. Adamson dished an assist on Tyler Topham's goal that made the score 2-0 Erin at 8:38 into the first period. He added another helper on Chris Grenier's goal that made the score 3-0 Erin at 2:15 into the second period.Penetang's power play was ineffective against Erin's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Shamrocks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Kings to score on any of their 13 power plays. Erin bested its season scoring average. The Shamrocks average 4.0 goals per game. Erin also got points from Grenier, who also registered one goal and two assists and Topham, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Erin also got a goal from Adam Gibson as well. In addition, Erin received assists from Adam Ferrer, who had one. Penetang did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Kings put an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game. Penetang could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Erin's Tom Denstedt stopped 24 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Shamrocks incurred 42 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. Adam Redgate rejected 17 shots on goal for the Kings.
