Hynes plays catalyst in Stayner's 6-3 win against Orillia

Dakota Hynes was a peerless playmaker for the Stayner Siskins, as he dished out four to beat the Orillia Terriers, 6-3.

Orillia was unable to stop Stayner from sending pucks towards the net, and the Siskins eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

Stayner additionally got points from Quinten Bruce, who also registered one goal and one assist and Brandon Watson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Stayner also had goals scored by Cooper Martin, who had two and Ben Lougheed and Sean Healy, who each put in one. In addition, Stayner received assists from Ricky Darrell, who had two and Lucas Jeffery, Kort Weir, and Kyle Lafreniere, who each chipped in one.

The Terriers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Stayner power plays.

Orillia was helped by Ryan Tucci, who tallied one goal. Tucci scored on the power play 1:03 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Denny Benson picked up the assist. Others who scored for Orillia included Jean-Philip Labonte and Brock Welsh, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Orillia were Andrew Windrem, who had one and Jason Binnie, who had two.

Xavier Portelance made 21 saves for Stayner on 24 shots. The Siskins ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. For Stayner, Griffin Pearce and Derick Robertson were ejected from the contest. The Terriers' Gordie Weiss stopped 37 shots out of the 43 that he faced. Orillia incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
