Huntsville hangs on, beats Caledon 4-2Canada Summit Centre Sun, Nov 30, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Myles York scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and the Huntsville Otters held off the challenges of the Caledon Golden Hawks in a tough 4-2 win. Huntsville took over the lead for good with a goal by York at 15:41 in the first period. The Otters had taken the advantage when Caledon's Cody Forgione got sent off for interference. Jesse Houlton provided the assist.Huntsville was paced by Tyler Kalbe APM, who finished with one goal. Kalbe APM scored 16:58 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Huntsville. Josh Zantingh assisted on the tally. The Otters' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Caledon power plays. Huntsville also got points from Nathan Zantingh, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and York, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Huntsville also got a goal from Jamie Halnan as well. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Jake McIntyre, who had two and Evan Wilding and Tyler Brown, who contributed one each. The Golden Hawks were helped by Christian Mariconda, who registered one goal. Mariconda scored 7:46 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Huntsville. Forgione picked up the assist. Michael Andrews also scored for Caledon. More assists for Caledon came via Steve Zeppieri, who had one. Hunter Ferguson recorded 26 saves for Huntsville. The Otters incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Caledon's starting goalie, James Cyfko, made 13 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Sam Procopio, who stopped eight shots. The Golden Hawks incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
