Nathan Zantingh netted a hat trick to lead the Huntsville Otters over the Penetang Kings, 7-2. Zantingh's first goal came 7:02 into the first period. He then added goals at 3:50 into the second and at 6:28 into the second.Huntsville pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes. Penetang was unable to stop the Otters from sending pucks towards the net, and Huntsville eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Otters surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Huntsville has scored at the pace of 4.1 goals per game during the current campaign. Huntsville also got points from Walker Davison, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Sam King also scored for Huntsville. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Myles Bissonette, Jamie Halnan, Sean Crowe, and Brendan Fitter, who contributed one each and Riley Vogels and Jake McIntyre, who each chipped in two. The Kings' offense rang up 39 shots on the Otters' net. Penetang was helped by Jordan Schwartz, who finished with one goal. Schwartz scored on the power play 47 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Huntsville. Craig Robinson picked up the assist. Penetang additionally got points from David Pearce, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Penetang received assists from Nate Archer and Kyle Burns, who contributed one each. Huntsville's Connor Christianson stopped 37 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Otters registered two goals on four power play opportunities. For Huntsville, Tyler Brown was ejected from the game. Martin Lauzon rejected 27 shots on goal for the Kings. Penetang incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
