In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Midland Flyers escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Penetang Kings. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Evan Buehler's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. Buehler was all over the ice for Midland, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Buehler scored on the power play 12:57 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Midland. A head contact penalty on Zach Bertucca had put the Flyers on the power play. Steven Pickard provided the assist. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 17:24 into the first period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Midland's offense rang up 38 shots on Penetang's net. Midland additionally got points from Pickard, who also registered one goal and one assist. Midland also got a goal from Neal Burgess as well.
