Orillia downs Caledon in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Orillia Terriers' Jason Binnie scored 2:52 into overtime to beat the Caledon Golden Hawks, 3-2 (OT).

Orillia came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Terriers was down 2-0 after a goal by Caledon's Daniel Cafagna at 16:14 in the second period. Orillia knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Binnie at 15:51 in the third period.

Binnie had a great game for the Terriers, netting two goals.

Orillia's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Caledon power plays. The Terriers' offense rang up 41 shots on the Golden Hawks' net.

Ryan Tucci also scored for Orillia. More assists for Orillia came via Jacob Beard, who had two and Denny Benson and Jason Stone, who each chipped in one.

Orillia was unable to stop Caledon from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Caledon also got a goal from Jake Mottershaw as well. In addition, Caledon received assists from Ben Ardis, Nicholas McNutt, Joseph Ruffolo, and Steven Klomp, who contributed one each.

The Terriers' Gordie Weiss stopped 36 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Orillia incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sam Procopio rejected 38 shots on goal for Caledon. The Golden Hawks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
