A hat trick by Adam Gibson was the highlight in Shamrocks' 7-1 win against the Penetang Kings. Gibson got on the scoresheet 9:41 into the first period. He then added goals at 18:15 into the first and at 2:55 into the third.The Erin Shamrocks were led by goalie Tom Denstedt, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Denstedt managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.85 prior to the game. Erin forced Penetang's netminders to work between the pipes, racking up 31 shots and forcing 24 saves. Adam Redgate made 12 stops and Martin Lauzon made 12. The Shamrocks found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Erin averages 3.7 goals per game. Erin additionally got points from Adam Ferrer, who also registered one goal and three assists and Chris Grenier, who also grabbed two goals and four assists to lead the team in points. Tyler Topham also scored for Erin. Other players who recorded assists for Erin were Jack Ford and Josh Tremblay, who contributed one each. The Kings were held below their usual level of production. Penetang puts an average of 3.6 pucks into the net per game. Penetang also got a goal from David Pearce as well. In addition, Penetang received assists from Hayden Cole and Craig Robinson, who each chipped in one. The Shamrocks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Kings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
