Jesse Houlton was all over the ice for the Huntsville Otters, as he tallied two goals in Huntsville's 6-3 win over the Stayner Siskins. Houlton found the back of the net on the power play 15:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville and again while on the power play 11:34 into the second to make the score 2-2.The Otters were often in penalty trouble, as it ended with 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Huntsville got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Huntsville also had goals scored by Jake McIntyre, Jamie Halnan, Nathan Zantingh, and Cody Jones (AP), who each put in one. More assists for Huntsville came via Riley Vogels, who had two and Evan Wilding, Sam King, Corey Miller, Tyler Brown, and Brendan Fitter, who contributed one each. Stayner kept the Otters' goalie busy throughout the game, and Connor Christianson made 30 saves on 33 shots. The Siskins were helped by Ricky Darrell, who tallied one goal. Darrell scored on the power play 4:35 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Stayner had gotten the advantage when Huntsville's Fitter was sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Jamieson Buck provided the assist. Others who scored for Stayner included Ryan Hyndman and Brandon Watson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Stayner were Trevor Franklin, Quinton Bruce, Derick Robertson, and Christian Papineau, who each chipped in one. The Otters registered two goals on five power play opportunities. For Huntsville, Brown was ejected from the game. Trevor Bloch took the loss and made 23 saves before being replaced by Xavier Portelance who made zero saves. The Siskins incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
