The Erin Shamrocks' Josh Tremblay scored 4:04 into overtime to beat the Stayner Siskins, 5-4 (OT). With three goals and three assists between them, Tremblay and Tyler Topham teamed up to power Erin's offense. Tremblay registered one goal and two assists and Topham also notched two goals and one assist. The Shamrocks forced Stayner goalie Xavier Portelance to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Erin cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances. Erin also got points from Topham, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Erin also had goals scored by Travis Knight and James Watson-Bagg, who each put in one. In addition, Erin received assists from Tom Denstedt and Adam Gibson, who each chipped in one. The Siskins' offense rang up 35 shots on the Shamrocks' net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Stayner was helped by Dakota Hynes, who finished with two goals. Hynes scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 16:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stayner. An interference penalty on Connor Mortimer had put the Siskins on the power play. Cooper Martin picked up the assist. Hynes' next tally on the power play made the score 4-4 with 2:26 left in the third period. Stayner also got a goal from Ben Lougheed as well. More assists for Stayner came via Ricky Darrell, who had two and Derick Robertson and Sean Healy, who contributed one each. Erin's Denstedt stopped 31 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Shamrocks incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Xavier Portelance made 26 saves for Stayner on 31 shots. The Siskins incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
