Adam Redgate made 27 saves to complete the shutout and led the Penetang Kings to a 3-0 win against the Midland Flyers. Penetang was sparked by David Pearce, who racked up one goal. Pearce scored short handed 13:06 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Penetang. A charging call on Michael Paul put the Kings on the penalty kill. Craig Robinson assisted on the tally. Penetang excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Kings' defensive effort looked to be improved. Penetang averages 2.2 goals allowed per game. Penetang also had goals scored by Nate Archer and Jordan Schwartz, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Penetang were Hayden Cole, Dan Hogan, and Matt Meher, who each chipped in one. Midland was held below its usual level of production. The Flyers put an average of 2.8 pucks into the net per game. Midland struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 36 penalty minutes for 11 opposing power plays. The Kings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jake Norton made 21 saves for the Flyers on 24 shots.
