Schomberg wins tough contest against Huntsville, 3-2Canada Summit Centre Fri, Sep 26, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Schomberg Cougars gutted out a close 3-2 win against the Huntsville Otters. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Mitchell Robinson secured the win for Schomberg with a goal in the second period. The Cougars were led by Robinson, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Robinson scored on the power play 17:34 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Schomberg. Schomberg had gained a power play chance when Myles Bissonette was whistled for hooking. The Cougars forced Huntsville goalie Hunter Ferguson to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Others who scored for Schomberg included Blake Culley and Brandon Yorke, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Schomberg were JP Crescenzi, who had one and Tristan Joseph, who had two. The Otters' offense operated below their season average.
