A hat trick by Nic Archibald was the highlight in Hornets' 8-0 win against the Schomberg Cougars.

Archibald's first goal came 37 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 13:27 into the first and at 10:58 into the third.

Schomberg's power play was ineffective against the Alliston Hornets' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Alliston stifled the Cougars' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Alliston also got points from Tanner Dockerty, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Alliston included Gianluca Pallotta, who had two and Mike Barosso and Matt Hamilton, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Alliston were Steve Griggs, who had one, Mark ODonnell, who had two, and Matt Taylor, who had three.

Schomberg could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 40 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Hornets incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
