Barg nets hat trick, leads Sydney Ice Dogs to 3-1 win over Perth ThunderPerth Ice Arena Sat, Aug 16, 2014 Perth Thunder could not stop Sydney Ice Dogs' Simon Barg, who tallied a hat trick in a 3-1 win. He then added goals at 5:17 into the third and at 14:14 into the third.Sydney Ice Dogs was led by goalie Timothy Noting, who finished with 45 saves while allowing one goal. Noting certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.17 entering the contest. Sydney Ice Dogs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Sydney Ice Dogs' offense was clicking better than usual and put 44 shots on goal during the game, better than the 3.8 shots per game it averages. More assists for Sydney Ice Dogs came via Dave Dunwoodie, who had two and Patrick Ward, John Clewlow, Richard Tesarik, and Robert Malloy, who each chipped in one. By firing 46 shots on goal, Perth Thunder exceeded the 2.6 shots it averages per game this year. Perth Thunder was led by Stuart Stefan, who scored the team's only goal.
