Sydney Ice Dogs took a 5-2 lead during the third period, only to have Perth Thunder storm back on a Andrew Cox goal 19:31 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Sydney Ice Dogs got the win thanks to a great game by John Clewlow, who had two goals and two assists. Clewlow scored the first of his two goals at 7:31 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Sydney Ice Dogs. Simon Barg assisted on the tally. Clewlow's next tally made the score 4-2 Sydney Ice Dogs with 6:55 left in the third period. Barg picked up the assist.
