Perth Thunder rips Sydney Bears, 4-1

Perth Thunder had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over Sydney Bears.

Sydney Bears was stymied by Perth Thunder's netminder Mathieu Dugas, who stopped 37 shots during the victory. The solid play of Dugas will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.66.

Perth Thunder was led by Andrew Cox, who racked up one goal. Cox scored 11:38 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Perth Thunder. Robert Haselhurst assisted on the tally.

Perth Thunder put 28 shots on net during the contest, more than the 3.2 it averages per game.

Perth Thunder additionally got points from Stuart Stefan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Justin Fox, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.
