Newcastle North Stars falls to Perth Thunder after surprising comeback

Perth Thunder climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat Newcastle North Stars, 7-5.

Perth Thunder let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a three hole to pick up the win. Perth Thunder took a 5-4 advantage on a goal by Andrew Cox at 12:00 in the third period. Perth Thunder went down 3-0 after Newcastle North Stars' Cody Danberg put the puck home at 7:18 in the second period. After evening things up at 5-5 on a goal by Matt Wetini at 14:13 in the third, Perth Thunder got the game-winner from Corey Toy at 14:39 in the third period.

Perth Thunder got the win with help from a great game by Toy, who had two goals and one assist.
