New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U gutted out a close 4-3 win against Omaha AAA 18U. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Zach Berzolla's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. Greg Malafronte had a great game for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U, netting two goals. Malafronte scored on the power play at 7:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U and again while 16:07 into the first to make the score 2-2. New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 30 penalty minutes. New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U forced Omaha AAA 18U's goaltenders to work all game long, racking up 35 shots and forcing 31 saves. Darion Hanson made 18 stops and Lucas Van Dyke made 13. New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Omaha AAA 18U to score on any of its nine power plays. Boomer Miller also scored for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U. More assists for New Jersey Jr. Titans 18U came via Brad Becker, who had one and Anthony Cusanelli, who had three. Omaha AAA 18U's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Omaha AAA 18U is averaging 1.4 goal against for the season.
