Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U rolls over Pursuit of Excellence 16U, 6-1

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over Pursuit of Excellence 16U.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U got the win thanks to a great game by Jack Gates, who had one goal and two assists. Gates scored 7:54 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U was stymied by Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U's netminder Timothy Huxen, who stopped 31 shots during the victory. Despite the solid performance, Huxen will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 0.59 entering the contest.
