Arizona Bobcats 18U uses shootout to best Pikes Peak Miners 18U, 4-3

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Arizona Bobcats 18U defeated Pikes Peak Miners 18U in a shootout 4-3.

The shootout lasted for eight attempts between the teams. In addition to the clincher, Arizona Bobcats 18U got a shootout goal from Matt Tweten.

Arizona Bobcats 18U saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. Arizona Bobcats 18U made the score 3-1 on a power play goal by Reise Kieffer at 14:16 in the second period. Pikes Peak Miners 18U evened things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by JP Nolette at 4:50 in the third period.

Arizona Bobcats 18U stifled Pikes Peak Miners 18U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
