San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U erases deficit to stun California Titans 16U, 3-2

Undaunted by a one-goal deficit, San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over California Titans 16U.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U never led in the game until netting the game winner. San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U was down 3-2 after a power play goal by California Titans 16U's Nickolai Gruzdev at 1:45 in the third period. San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U tied things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Kyle Moore at 12:20 in the third period.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 42 penalty minutes.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U's offense rang up 38 shots on California Titans 16U's net. San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U excelled on the penalty kill, only allowing California Titans 16U to get one power play goal on 13 chances.

San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U also had goals scored by Sam Jenkins and Andrew Bascom, who each put in one. In addition, San Jose Jr. Sharks 16U received assists from Evan Pace and Brendan Tydingco, who each chipped in one.

California Titans 16U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

California Titans 16U also got points from Dylan Denton, who also tallied one goal and one assist. California Titans 16U also got a goal from Jake Pisarcik as well. More assists for California Titans 16U came via Daylon Mannon, Conner Johnson, and Austin Hanson, who contributed one each.
