Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Omaha AAA 16U defeated Arizona Bobcats 16U in a shootout 4-3. The two teams needed 26 turns to complete the shootout. Arizona Bobcats 16U's shootout goals were scored by Brayden Watts and Trey Porter. In addition to the clincher, Omaha AAA 16U got shootout goals from Austin Long and Johnny Bennis.Omaha AAA 16U overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Omaha AAA 16U trailed 3-1 after a goal by Arizona Bobcats 16U's Alex Sprague at 16:21 in the first period. Omaha AAA 16U tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Gabe Wahl at 3:16 in the third period. Omaha AAA 16U kept Arizona Bobcats 16U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Dickson made 33 saves on 37 shots. Omaha AAA 16U was helped by Austin Nault, who racked up one goal.
