Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Omaha AAA 16U defeated Arizona Bobcats 16U in a shootout 4-3.

The two teams needed 26 turns to complete the shootout. Arizona Bobcats 16U's shootout goals were scored by Brayden Watts and Trey Porter. In addition to the clincher, Omaha AAA 16U got shootout goals from Austin Long and Johnny Bennis.

Omaha AAA 16U overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Omaha AAA 16U trailed 3-1 after a goal by Arizona Bobcats 16U's Alex Sprague at 16:21 in the first period. Omaha AAA 16U tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Gabe Wahl at 3:16 in the third period.

Omaha AAA 16U kept Arizona Bobcats 16U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Dickson made 33 saves on 37 shots.

Omaha AAA 16U was helped by Austin Nault, who racked up one goal. Nault scored 12:19 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Arizona Bobcats 16U. Ethen Frank assisted on the tally. Omaha AAA 16U additionally got points from Frank, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Omaha AAA 16U came via Bryan Yoon, who had two and AJ DiCesare, Garrett Anderson, and Jaden Anderson, who contributed one each.

Arizona Bobcats 16U's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Arizona Bobcats 16U was helped by Dylan Dix, who grabbed one goal. Dix scored on the power play 15:10 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Arizona Bobcats 16U. A roughing penalty on Long had put Arizona Bobcats 16U on the power play. Josh Lindsay also scored for Arizona Bobcats 16U.

Omaha AAA 16U took out Alex Cathcart after he had made four saves and installed Maximilian Haselbacher in goal, where he finished with 11 saves and the win. Omaha AAA 16U incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Arizona Bobcats 16U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
