Omaha AAA 16U rolls over New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U, 5-0

Omaha AAA 16U had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U's power play was ineffective against Omaha AAA 16U's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Omaha AAA 16U was led by Jordan Wishman, who grabbed one goal. Wishman scored 1:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Omaha AAA 16U. Ethen Frank picked up the assist.

Omaha AAA 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U power plays. Omaha AAA 16U forced New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U goalie Anthony Del Tufo to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Omaha AAA 16U was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 34 penalty minutes. Omaha AAA 16U's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Omaha AAA 16U also had goals scored by Austin Long, who had two and Dane Johnson and Dalton Gally, who each put in one. More assists for Omaha AAA 16U came via Casey Gilling, who had two and Nicholas Caprio, Baron Thompson, Garrett Anderson, and Jaden Anderson, who contributed one each.

Omaha AAA 16U's defense shut down New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U's forwards for much of the game, and New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U got off only 14 shots during the contest. Penalties took their toll on New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals.

Omaha AAA 16U's Maximilian Haselbacher stopped 14 shots out of the 14 that he faced. Anthony Del Tufo made 26 saves for New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U on 31 shots. New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
