Eubank's big game bests West Michigan Hounds 18U in 7-4 Pikes Peak Miners 18U win

Jake Eubank had two goals and two assists to lead Pikes Peak Miners 18U to a 7-4 victory over West Michigan Hounds 18U.

Eubank scored at 48 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pikes Peak Miners 18U and again while on the power play 13:19 into the first to make the score 3-1 Pikes Peak Miners 18U.

Pikes Peak Miners 18U kept West Michigan Hounds 18U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Chance Kremer made 53 saves on 60 shots. Pikes Peak Miners 18U did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying only one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Pikes Peak Miners 18U took advantage of West Michigan Hounds 18U's penalties, tallying three goals off of five power play opportunities.

Pikes Peak Miners 18U also got points from Paul Norris, who also finished with two goals and one assist and Cooper Spears, who also registered one goal and two assists. Pikes Peak Miners 18U also had goals scored by Vlad Zhidkikh and JP Nolette, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Pikes Peak Miners 18U were David Dziezawiec and Trevor Paradise, who contributed one each and Logan Parsley, Luke Boose, and Mitch Porter, who each chipped in two.

West Michigan Hounds 18U was helped by Gavin Cline, who tallied one goal. Cline scored 9:07 into the third period to make the score 6-4 Pikes Peak Miners 18U. Collin Schieman assisted on the tally. West Michigan Hounds 18U also got a goal from Trevor Salmen as well. In addition, West Michigan Hounds 18U received assists from Jonah Oman and Kyle Berry, who contributed one each.

Matty Taylor recorded 18 saves for Pikes Peak Miners 18U. West Michigan Hounds 18U incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
