Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U hangs on, beats California Titans 18U 4-2

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U beat California Titans 18U, 4-2, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

A goal 12:45 into the first period by Tyse Teague proved to be the game winner, and powered Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U to the victory. Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U had taken the advantage when California Titans 18U's Jarrett Sturtz got sent off for slashing. Evan Camba picked up the assist.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U was led by Aaron Murray, who racked up one goal. Murray scored 3:03 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U. Bryce Hunt assisted on the tally.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U forced California Titans 18U goalie Nicholas Nast to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
