Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Omaha AAA 18U defeated HC Dallas 18U in a shootout 3-2.

The shootout lasted for seven attempts between the teams. Omaha AAA 18U's other shootout goal was scored by Matt Christian.

Omaha AAA 18U overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Omaha AAA 18U trailed 2-1 after a goal by HC Dallas 18U's Grayson Dillingham at 2:18 in the third period. Omaha AAA 18U tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Christian at 16:01 in the third period.

Omaha AAA 18U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four HC Dallas 18U power plays.

Omaha AAA 18U also got a goal from TJ Polglaze as well. More assists for Omaha AAA 18U came via Jack LeBlanc and Jarrett Mari, who each chipped in one.

Ethan Smith also scored for HC Dallas 18U. In addition, HC Dallas 18U received assists from Peter Hatton, Ben Bledsoe, Lucas Mendes, and Patric Fun, who contributed one each.
