Pursuit of Excellence 18U survives West Michigan Hounds 18U comeback, wins 3-2

West Michigan Hounds 18U tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Pursuit of Excellence 18U would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U made the score 3-1 on a goal by Braeden Harke at 1:57 in the third period, and West Michigan Hounds 18U got as close as 3-2 when Dakota Wilson scored 14:27 into the third period.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U's penalty kill excelled, as Pursuit of Excellence 18U gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U also had goals scored by Kain Stevenson and Dallas Comeau, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Pursuit of Excellence 18U were Jake Harrison, Zachary Zorn, Ethan King, and Jarod Hovde, who contributed one each.

In addition, West Michigan Hounds 18U received assists from Gavin Cline and Johnathan Goetz, who each chipped in one.

Pursuit of Excellence 18U's Colten Lancaster stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Pursuit of Excellence 18U incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Alex Wilder made 16 saves for West Michigan Hounds 18U on 19 shots. West Michigan Hounds 18U incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
