West Michigan Hounds 18U uses shootout to best San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U, 5-4

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as West Michigan Hounds 18U defeated San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U in a shootout 5-4.

The shootout featured 10 attempts between both teams.

West Michigan Hounds 18U saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. West Michigan Hounds 18U made the score 4-2 on a goal by Zander Sorenson at 6:47 in the third period. San Jose Jr. Sharks 18U evened things up at 4-4 on a goal by Ryan Meure at 16:45 in the third period.
