Minnesota Revolution 18U vanquishes West Michigan Hounds 18U in shootout, 3-2

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Minnesota Revolution 18U defeated West Michigan Hounds 18U in a shootout 3-2.

The shootout featured 10 attempts between both teams. West Michigan Hounds 18U's shootout goal was scored by Mason Graves. Minnesota Revolution 18U's other shootout goal was scored by Travis Marsh.

Minnesota Revolution 18U overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Minnesota Revolution 18U fell behind 2-1 after a power play goal by West Michigan Hounds 18U's Jonah Oman at 5:30 in the third period. Minnesota Revolution 18U tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Wyatt Nielsen at 15:54 in the third period.

Minnesota Revolution 18U was helped by Mark Sanchez, who grabbed one goal. Sanchez scored on the power play 2:05 into the third period to make the score 1-1. An interference penalty on Johnathan Goetz had put Minnesota Revolution 18U on the power play. Cory Sprague assisted on the tally. More assists for Minnesota Revolution 18U came via Dylan Ceynar and Jordan Wright, who each chipped in one.
