Compuware 18U hangs on, beats Team Illinois 18U 4-2

Cam Dyde scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and Compuware 18U held off the challenges of Team Illinois 18U in a tough 4-2 win.

Compuware 18U took over the lead for good with a goal by Dyde at 11:21 in the first period. Daniel Miller picked up the assist.

Compuware 18U's penalty kill excelled, as Compuware 18U gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Compuware 18U was paced by Miller Rubin, who had one goal. Rubin scored on the power play 4:57 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Compuware 18U. Compuware 18U had gotten the advantage when Team Illinois 18U's Cooper Marshall was sent off for slashing. Todd Trottier provided the assist.

Compuware 18U stifled Team Illinois 18U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Compuware 18U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

Compuware 18U additionally got points from Hayden Winch, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Compuware 18U also got a goal from Zach Resnick as well. In addition, Compuware 18U received assists from Eamon Hilliard and Jake Barnes, who contributed one each.
