Chicago Mission 18U uses shootout to best Little Caesars 18U, 4-3

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Chicago Mission 18U defeated Little Caesars 18U in a shootout 4-3.

The shootout lasted for nine attempts between the teams. Little Caesars 18U got a shootout goal from Danil Sokolka. Chicago Mission 18U also got shootout goals from Lance Herning and Lucas Finner.

Chicago Mission 18U came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Chicago Mission 18U was down 3-2 after a goal by Little Caesars 18U's Joshua Owings at 6:57 in the third period. Chicago Mission 18U knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Herning at 12:36 in the third period.

Chicago Mission 18U's offense was handcuffed by Little Caesars 18U's defensive play, and Chicago Mission 18U managed only four shots on goal during the game.
