Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U vanquishes Esmark Stars 18U in shootout, 2-1

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U defeated Esmark Stars 18U in a shootout 2-1.

The shootout featured 10 attempts between both teams. Esmark Stars 18U's shootout goal was scored by Brendon Zack. In addition to the clincher, Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U got a shootout goal from Andrew Truxaw.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Esmark Stars 18U to score on any of its four power plays.

Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U was led by Truxaw, who registered one goal. Truxaw scored 4:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U. Tyse Teague provided the assist.
