Uricchio nets hat trick, leads Esmark Stars 16U to 5-3 win over West Michigan Hounds 16U

Jasper Uricchio netted a hat trick to lead Esmark Stars 16U over West Michigan Hounds 16U, 5-3.

Uricchio notched his first tally 6:00 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:22 into the first and at 11:58 into the second.

Esmark Stars 16U led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Esmark Stars 16U's Beau Heakins scored at 14:56 in the second period to put Esmark Stars 16U up 5-2.

Esmark Stars 16U's offense rang up 32 shots on West Michigan Hounds 16U's net.

Esmark Stars 16U also got points from Heakins, who also registered one goal and one assist and Matts Thielemann, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Esmark Stars 16U received assists from Nic Allen and Max Milan, who each chipped in one and Cam Williams and Alex Crilley, who contributed two each.

West Michigan Hounds 16U was led by Jack Sampson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Sampson scored 51 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-2. Nick Koperdak picked up the assist. West Michigan Hounds 16U also had goals scored by Brady Lawrence and Michael Kelley, who scored one goal each. More assists for West Michigan Hounds 16U came via Ian Elliott, who had one and Jake Redman, who had two.

Tyler Kurtz recorded 12 saves for Esmark Stars 16U. Esmark Stars 16U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tyler Roe made 27 saves for West Michigan Hounds 16U on 32 shots. West Michigan Hounds 16U incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
