New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U uses early goal to top St. Louis Selects 16U, 3-1

TJ Hawkins scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U held off the challenges of St. Louis Selects 16U in a tough 3-1 win.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U took over the lead for good with a goal by Hawkins at 14:57 in the first period. A roughing penalty on Justin Meers had put New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U on the power play. Zach Berzolla picked up the assist.

Berzolla was all over the ice for New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Berzolla scored short handed 10:24 into the second period to make the score 3-1 New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U. New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U found itself down a man on Bobby Freiling's hooking. Zach Noble provided the assist.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U's penalty kill excelled, as New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.
