Lansing Capitals 16U's Pipper deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Madison Capitols 16U

Noah Pipper had two goals to lead Lansing Capitals 16U to a 5-2 victory over Madison Capitols 16U.

Pipper found the back of the net on the power play 14:30 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lansing Capitals 16U and again while 2:04 into the third to make the score 4-2 Lansing Capitals 16U.

Lansing Capitals 16U put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Madison Capitols 16U to score on any of its five power plays. Lansing Capitals 16U kept Madison Capitols 16U's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Dunn made 28 saves on 33 shots.

Lansing Capitals 16U also got points from Zack Olen, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Lansing Capitals 16U also had goals scored by Reagan Wortz and Riley Hestwood, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lansing Capitals 16U received assists from Nick Welch, who had two and Ryan Hein, Luke Cornell, Sean Millane, Dakota Bohn, Rex Moe, and Joseph Ullstrom, who contributed one each.
