Compuware 16U penalty kill dominates in 5-1 defeat of Pikes Peak Miners 16U

Compuware 16U's penalty kill was superb, as Compuware 16U survived multiple penalties to beat Pikes Peak Miners 16U, 5-1.

Compuware 16U was led by Marshall Vyletel, who had one goal. Vyletel scored 2:59 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Compuware 16U. Jed Pietila provided the assist.

Compuware 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Pikes Peak Miners 16U power plays. Pikes Peak Miners 16U was unable to stop Compuware 16U from sending pucks towards the net, and Compuware 16U eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Compuware 16U surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, Compuware 16U averages 2.6 goals per contest. Compuware 16U could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.
