Team Illinois 16U holds on for 4-3 win against New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U

Team Illinois 16U survived a determined comeback attempt by New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U on the way to a 4-3 win.

A goal by Liam Thrawl put Team Illinois 16U up 4-2 in the second period, but New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U pulled to within one on Bobby Freiling's tally 13:38 into the third period.

New Jersey Jr. Titans 16U's power play was ineffective against Team Illinois 16U's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.
