CYA 16U beats Compuware 16U 3-2 after comeback scare

Compuware 16U tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but CYA 16U would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

CYA 16U made the score 3-1 on a goal by Cooper Haar at 7:04 in the third period, and Compuware 16U got as close as 3-2 when Dominic Skrelja scored 10:45 into the third period.

CYA 16U was sparked by Haar, who racked up one goal.

CYA 16U also had goals scored by Jackson Decker and Nigel Nelson, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for CYA 16U were Thomas Wray and Kilian Hammersmith, who contributed one each.

Compuware 16U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four CYA 16U power plays.

Compuware 16U was helped by Alex Armstrong, who finished with one goal. Armstrong scored 55 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 CYA 16U. Nicholas Mooney provided the assist. In addition, Compuware 16U received assists from Ronald Brickey and Blake Tosto, who each chipped in one.

CYA 16U incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Compuware 16U incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
