Little Caesars 16U tried its best to erase a five-goal deficit, but Chicago Mission 16U would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 7-6.

Chicago Mission 16U made the score 7-2 on a goal by Dominick Mersch at 12:12 in the third period, and Little Caesars 16U got as close as 7-6 when Justin Brandt scored 16:37 into the third period.

Joey Abate had a great game for Chicago Mission 16U, netting two goals. Abate's tallies came at 59 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chicago Mission 16U and on the power play 4:47 into the second to make the score 2-2.
