Metro downs Cleveland, 3-0

Tyler Layle registered one point to lead the Metro Jets to a 3-0 victory over the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks.

Metro was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Jets allow 2.7 goals per game. Metro kept Cleveland's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Pikus made 30 saves on 33 shots.

Metro also had goals scored by Alex Holm and Cody Jones, who scored one goal each. In addition, Metro received assists from Cooper McLean, Pearce Vance, Jacob Drinkard, TJ Krajewski, Jake Sealy, and Graham Day, who each chipped in one.

The Jr. Lumberjacks did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Cleveland puts an average of 2.4 pucks into the net per game.

The Jets' Jake Stephan stopped 15 shots out of the 15 that he faced. Metro incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Jr. Lumberjacks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
