The La Crosse Freeze beat the West Michigan Wolves, 1-0, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

La Crosse took over the lead for good with a goal by Jake Lipski at 9:47 in the first period. Ben Henderson picked up the assist.

The Freeze were boosted by Andrew Wagner, who turned in a shutout with 33 saves. Wagner managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.28 prior to the game.
