Coulter's goals lift Point Mallard to 7-1 victory over Cincinnati

Stephen Coulter had two goals to lead the Point Mallard Ducks to a 7-1 victory over the Cincinnati Swords.

Coulter's tallies came on the power play at 10:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Point Mallard and on the power play 15:43 into the first to make the score 2-0 Point Mallard.

Point Mallard forced Cincinnati's goaltenders to work between the pipes, getting 39 shots and forcing 32 saves. Brandon Kruger made 20 stops and James Schroeder made 12. The Ducks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Point Mallard found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Ducks have scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of Point Mallard were also effective in the Swords' zone, and came away with three goals.

Point Mallard additionally got points from Josh Hamilton, who also grabbed two goals and one assist and Justin Dunn, who also finished with two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Matt Goodman also scored for Point Mallard. Other players who recorded assists for Point Mallard were Jake Champaign, who had three, Killan Gray, Gabor Belenyesi, and Justin Delisle, who each chipped in one, and Noah Gilreath and Brad Reitter, who contributed two each.

The Ducks' Roman Bengert stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Point Mallard incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Cincinnati incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
