Glacier squeaks by Yellowstone, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Glacier escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Yellowstone Quake.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Karson Frisk secured the win for Glacier with a goal in the second period.

Glacier was led by Frisk, who had one goal. Frisk scored 16:22 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Glacier. Norman Brightnose provided the assist.

Glacier forced Yellowstone's netminders to work in net, ripping 41 shots and forcing 38 saves. Lance Knudson made 30 stops and Sean Leahy made eight.

Glacier also got points from Blake Evennou, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Matt Gamblin also scored for Glacier. More assists for Glacier came via Joshua Larson, who had one.

The Quake's offense rang up 34 shots on Glacier's net.

Yellowstone was helped by Mike McCullen, who finished with one goal. McCullen scored 19:12 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Sawyer Scanlan assisted on the tally. Yellowstone also got a goal from Max Doner as well. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Josh Neumann, Will Landsverk, and Kevin Froelich, who contributed one each.

Ryan Lund made 32 saves for Glacier on 34 shots. Glacier incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Quake totaled 35 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
