The Metro Jets' Kyle Shreve had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 11-5 win over the Southern Tier Xpress.

Shreve's tallies came at 16:48 into the second period to make the score 6-3 Metro and 11:53 into the third to make the score 10-4 Metro.

Southern Tier fell victim to a deadly Metro power play, which ripped the Xpress for four goals.

The Jets forced Southern Tier's goalies to work in net, totaling 35 shots and forcing 24 saves. Cody Gibson made 12 stops and Tyler Geloneck made 12. Metro bested its season scoring average. This season, the Jets average 4.2 goals per contest. The defensemen of Metro were also effective in the Xpress' zone, and came away with four goals. Others who scored for Metro included Tyler Layle, who had two and Cooper McLean, Andrew Sawyer, and TJ Krajewski, who scored one goal each. In addition, Metro received assists from Zach Koonce, who had two, Devin Kelly, who had three, and Jacob Drinkard, Jake Sealy, Jacob Rutkoske, and Spencer Graham, who each chipped in one.

Southern Tier was often in penalty trouble, totaling 11 minors and one major for 57 minutes in penalty time. The Xpress surpassed its season average of 29.0 penalty minutes per game.

Southern Tier was helped by Mark Sunde, who had one goal and two assists. Sunde scored 15:36 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Brandon Desrosiers picked up the assist. Southern Tier additionally got points from Desrosiers, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Luke Sunde, who also registered two goals and one assist. Elijah Williams also scored for Southern Tier. More assists for Southern Tier came via Tim Weisgerber, Cody Maulsby, Tobias Gabrielsen, and Brian Grant, who contributed one each.
