Kyler Chartier was all over the ice for the Bozeman Icedogs, as he tallied two goals in Bozeman's 4-1 win over the Billings Bulls. Chartier scored at 18:34 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 14:56 into the third to make the score 3-1 Bozeman.The Icedogs' Denijs Romanovskis was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 32 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Romanovskis will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.1. Bozeman excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Bozeman also had goals scored by Gunnar Mogck and Brandon Endres, who each put in one. In addition, Bozeman received assists from Jake Nicks, Steven Nisbet, Ryan Erickson, Kegan Couture, Austin Charnholm, and Cole Blatter, who each chipped in one. Billings stifled the Icedogs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulls were held below their usual level of production. Billings puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. Bozeman was unable to stop the Bulls from sending pucks towards the net, and Billings eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. The Bulls were led by Nick Rizzo, who scored the team's only goal. Rizzo scored 5:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Billings. Austin Lange assisted on the tally. The Icedogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ray Smith rejected 14 shots on goal for Billings. The Bulls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
