Breezy Point beats Yellowstone 9-1 as Conrads gets hat trick

The Yellowstone Quake could not stop the Breezy Point North Stars' Felix Conrads, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-1 win.

Conrads' first goal came 18:20 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:33 into the second and at 3:04 into the third.

Breezy Point was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and two majors for 34 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 27.0 minutes per game the North Stars had been spending in the box. Breezy Point forced Yellowstone's goalies to work between the pipes, totaling 43 shots and forcing 34 saves. Sean Leahy made 19 stops and AJ Hill made 15. The North Stars found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Breezy Point has scored at the pace of 2.7 goals per game during the current campaign.

Breezy Point also got points from Brandon Endres, who also registered one goal and one assist, Jordan Carey, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Ryan Mezera, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Breezy Point also had goals scored by Crosby Steen, Alex Mimmack, and Joe Costello, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Kole Kobel, who had two and Nate Werhane, Linder Kenyon, and Tyler Larwood, who each chipped in one.

The Quake racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. Yellowstone had been averaging 14.0 minutes in penalties per game.

Max Doner also scored for Yellowstone. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Averi Lison, who had one.

Levi Goosmann made 19 saves for the North Stars on 20 shots. Breezy Point registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The Quake registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
