Jacob Pelton was superb between the pipes for the Topeka Capitals, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the St. Louis Jr. Blues.

Topeka was led by Kyle Rimbach, who had one goal. Rimbach scored 11:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Topeka.

The Capitals put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Louis to score on any of its four power plays. Topeka's defensive play was more effective than usual against the Jr. Blues. The Capitals gives up 2.9 goals on average per game.
